The Committee of experts on the issues relating to litigation and grievances constituted by the RakshaMantri had recommended and approved short training capsules for Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officers with the National Judicial Academy or the State Judicial Academies where the members of Civil Judiciary are trained. The decision was focused on the need and necessity for proper training to JAG Officers in interpretative, Constitutional and Administrative law.
The objective of such capsule is to expose the officers to nuances of trials and their finer aspects of law so as to promote the actual functioning of the legal and judicial system. The Chandigarh Judicial Academy has the honour to conduct such indigenous programs for officers belonging to JAG branch with the Indian Armed Forces.
The course has been designed in such a way so as to outline the importance of the principles of natural justice and how effectively they should be adhered in within the scope of Army/Air Force Act where adherence to discipline is of paramount importance.
