A picturesque structure, established in 2006, spread over 8.5 acres of land with 2.78 lakh square yards as covered area; Chandigarh Judicial Academy can legitimately claim itself to be the best amongst all judicial academies in the country. Magnificence, elegance, grace, charm, and charisma are its key features. Everything, including the expansive green area, adds to its beauty while also serving ecological needs. A premier Academy, registered as a Society, is working under the aegis of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court with a main aim of conducting Induction and In-Service Training of the Judicial Officers recruited by the States of Punjab and Haryana. The Academy also devises and organizes Refresher Courses/ Advance Courses/ Workshops/ Conferences/Seminars/Webinars for In-Service Judicial Officers of the States of Punjab and Haryana so as to keep them abreast with the latest developments in the field of Law and Judicial Administration. In Induction Training, case exercises and mock trials form an integral part. Special programs are regularly conducted for Public Prosecutors and Revenue officers as well. Trans-National training programmes are also its unique feature. The Chandigarh Judicial Academy also has the singular honor of conducting a 3-week residential programme for JAG officers of the Indian Armed Forces. Infrastructure wise, it has an air-conditioned auditorium with capacity of nearly 300 and is equipped with the best lighting and sound systems. It also has the facility of video conferencing. Jurists of the highest order have been to this auditorium. Just opposite the auditorium is the equally impressive Convention Hall, which stands over 4900 square feet. It can hold up to 200 people and has been used for many seminars, colloquia, refresher courses, and orientations. Also, the academy's administrative block has six lecture theaters, each with one 46-inch LCD and a roll-down screen with a larger dimension for power point presentations. Last but not the least; it has a computer lab with 40 computer tables with high speed net connectivity.
